The Flop The Turn The River The Showdown The Winnings The Deal

It is no secret that lottery corporations exist throughout the world.  These corporations run the lotteries found within their jurisdictions, and are usually government-owned.  In Canada and the United States the various provinces and states have their own corporations. Canada, for instance, is broken down into 5 corporations.

They are the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador), Loto Quebec (Quebec), the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Ontario), the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories and Nunavut), and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (British Columbia).

The lottery corporations offer games such as jackpot lotteries, bingos, keno, sport wagering, scratch cards and even video lottery terminals (basically slot machines).
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), has 11,000 retailers and cleared $2 billion in profit last year on sales of $6 billion.  The OLG averages approximately $550,000 profit per day.
